Three ideas from mobile that improve desktop
Replace the bot list with a live activity feed. Bot dots at the top for status, everything else — messages, proposals, alerts — streaming below. Always-on awareness.
Click a bot dot to expand its card in the sidebar — context %, uptime, quick actions. No page navigation for the common case. Only "enter terminal" opens a full view.
Infrastructure, Knowledge, Queue slide in from the right as 400px panels. You never lose your primary view. Click away to dismiss.
Feed sidebar + terminal
The most common view: feed sidebar for awareness, terminal for work. Everything visible at once.
Slide-over panel
Click Infrastructure in the feed sidebar and it slides in from the right. Terminal still visible. No page navigation.
Current vs greenfield desktop
Sidebar lists bots. Main content is the active page. Switching between Colony, Queue, Infrastructure = full page navigation. You lose terminal to check messages.
Sidebar IS the feed — constant awareness without switching. Terminal stays visible. Secondary content slides over without replacing anything. You never lose context.
The key insight: the sidebar becomes the overview. No separate Overview page needed — the feed sidebar IS the overview, always visible, always current. The main panel is for focused work (terminal, logs). Secondary content overlays without displacing.
